Episode 01: “Brighton Wellness Center” After having a nervous breakdown during the social at New Alliance Rob has been committed to the Brighton Wellness Center for recovery. Unfortunately there’s more drugs in the center than there was at the parties Robert frequents. It’s up to Doctor Chris Coxen to help Robert recover from years of shitty jobs and creative failure. Meanwhile Rob has vistors such as Shaun, Bigg Nez, and Morgana, along with Michael and Sophia. Will Rob ever get out??? |
Episode 02: “The Escape” Rob is trapped in the Brighton Wellness Center and is starting to go crazy because he knows he will have to go back to a life sucking day job like Best Buy or Ruby Tuesday unless he pretends he’s crazy for the rest of his life. He is visited by Bruce who is studying for the role of Elliott Smith in a Lexington Community Theater production, and starts a relationship with Natalie that is about to turn into a full blown marriage until Bigg Nez and Peter Bowers come to the rescue. |
Episode 03: “Mallory” After escaping from the Brighton Wellness Center (Crazy Home) Rob is now living out of Peter Bowers’s RV in the woods… While Peter has to make a living for the two of them by playing Squeeze Box for pennies. Rob writes magical songs about Papa Gino’s and John Lennon and eats berries and mushrooms in the forest while Bigg Nez is trying to track down his friend… And then Robert meets Peter’s niece Mallory…..boom. |
Episode 04: “The Station” Rob has lived in Peter Bower’s RV for four weeks only to be saved by his wonderful and loving niece Mallory who is also a member of a “Commune” called “The Station”… It’s full of like minded people who just wanna Occupy your hearts… Rob moves into the commune along with Bigg Nez and they quickly learn about a lovely vegan diet and lifestyle from the 20 year head honcho Tom. Rob doesn’t like the overuse of DMT and orgies that run through the place and tries to escape. |
Episode 05: “Occupy That Car” Rob is out on his own again in Allston and finds himself moving into the backseat of a car owned by Sammie. He writes some lovely tunes about wars set to Dresden Dolls tunes, and 911 being an inside job set to All I Want For X-Mas Is My Two Front Teeth, and he has wonderful dumpster diving adventures at Trader Joe’s and Upper Crust. Meanwhile Bigg Nez has taken over as Father of the Commune “The Station” after Tom has committed suicide. Bigg Nez is soon in over his head as Sprinkles questions his every move |
Episode 06: “Apocalypse Nez” Bigg Nez is up poo creek without a paddle. After winding up with a dead lady at the commune (due to her allegic reaction to hummus) Bigg Nez is targeted by Sprinkles and company to be killed off. Although Mallory is trying to keep things together time is ticking on things blowing up…. Meanwhile Rob is suicidal after being thrown out of living in the backseat of a car and is on his last straw as he can’t find a way to make a living with his creative side and doesn’t want to try and fit into a world that doesn’t seem to understand or want him around. He visits the commune and Nez/Mallory in hopes he can find something to hang onto. |
Episode 07: “A Love Vermin Supreme” After trying to kill himself by slashing his wrists, Robert is saved by ex-commune member and presidental candidate Vermin Supreme who then carries Rob away to his compound in the middle of nowhere. Vermin then spends the next three months practicing his methods of evolution on Rob, who is mostly on mushrooms and still harbors city paranoia, and basically is scared of everything around him. Rob eventually starts to come around and an epic journey through the forrest to a magical cliff dressed as a penguin takes place. Robert then has to take the flight of his life… |
Episode 08: “Do You Believe In Magic?” The Democratic National Convention. Rob, after surviving a trial by fire at Vermin Supreme’s ranch decides to join him for an epic adventure down at the Democratic National Convention camping out with the Occupy party at Marshall Park in Charlotte North Carolina. |
Episode 09: “Robert Do Your Special Move!” Quiet Desperation Season Three or 3 episode 9 or nine “Leagues Of Loons”. Rob is back in Allston Massachusetts after going on multiple protests, occupy events, rallies with Vermin Supreme. Unfortunately with coming back to Allston comes the vices of life in the city and Rob is quickly back on the drugs and partying it up with old friend Bigg Nez. In hopes to clear him and his friend’s head Rob brings Bigg Nez to Vermin’s compound in hopes to find his groove again. |
Episode 10: “Hurricane Sandy” (Finale) This is the finale of Quiet Desperation Season Three or 3 and is episode ten or 10. Quiet Desperation is a Boston-based reality series that follows the adventures of bi-polar manic artist-type Rob Potylo. The finale episode centers around Hurricane Sandy’s impact on Union Beach, New Jersey and how Occupy, working together with Rainbow Rapid Response helped set up a camp to provide food, clothing, and supplies, along with a crew to repair houses in the area for those suffering from the devastation. |
