Episode 01: “Renaldo!” Quiet Desperation is the story of some crazy adventures in the Allston, MA arts scene — and even crazier characters. Shaun (Bedgood) is trying to get Robby (Rob Potylo) to focus on his work, but Mehran (Khaghani) keeps providing enticing distractions — both chemical and otherwise. Featured in this first episode is Great Scott’s in Allston, MA; Staples, and Everett, MA. |
Episode 02: “I Like Cats!” This episode touches on horny animals, the Boston Globe, and WAAF. Here, we meet a few members of the local media, while Nikki and Robby try to move forward with the first Super Time Pilot album under the watchful eye of Shaun Bedgood — who will do anything it takes to avoid going back to working at a shitty fast-food joint. |
Episode 03: “Creepy Dickhead Eyes” Video games, standup comedy, raves and Great Scott’s (in Allston, MA) are all featured in this episode. |
Episode 04: “Chippah!” Meet the Chippah…This episode touches on message boards, Irish-accent punk rock bands, New Alliance Studios, Route 1 Mini-Golf, the Charles River, the EMF building, and IHOP. |
Episode 05: “Put Out The Fire” A cook-out, a landscaping crew, Herrell’s Ice Cream, shitty dudes, emo folk singers, the EMF building, New Alliance studios, the Pill @ Great Scott’s, and the proper care of a baby…what do these things all have in common? They all make up a part of Episode 5. Robby and Nikki mend some fences just as Go Green Go Landscaping takes over the Stronghold. |
Episode 06: “Kickball!” In this episode the local A&R reps take on the Boston music scene in a thrilling battle of athletic prowess on the kickball fields; the viability of Harvey the weed plant (recently discovered to be a female plant) is discussed, and we spend a bit more time at The Comedy Studio in Cambridge, Mass. Mehran tries to guide Rob’s career and affections, while Robby and Nikki discuss how to fund the album production and Tom Dustin takes to the kickball green. |
Episode 07: “Hello Kitty” The aftermath of the kickball extravagganza, hardcore rap groups, Revere Beach, Tin Tin Buffet, tapping into the Asian Market, why the pigeon burrows, bisexuality and more! Find out how the A&R team is handling their crushing defeat and check out part of the first (only?) single by Tin Tin Buffet! |
Episode 08: “Do You Believe In Magic?” Now that the album is finished, Robby can’t seem to focus on promoting and Brett provides to be too distracting. This episode also features puppeteers, sex, magic, ducks, Revere Beach, Tin Tin Buffet, Golden Tee, fingering and bisexuality! |
Episode 09: “Robert Do Your Special Move!” This episode touches on basketball, children’s books, Revere Beach, Tin Tin Buffet, sex, and adults in children’s clothing. Super Time Pilot takes on the JP Poets in a game of 2-on-2, but who will emerge victorious? |
Episode 10: “The Summer Is Over” The summer is winding to a close in Quiet Desperation, find out what everyone is up to…Will Tin Tin Buffet stay together? Will Mehran rule the Cloud Club? Will Robby survive at Staples? These are the questions the waning summer brings. |
Episode 11: “A Switch” This episode touches on The Cloud Club, The Comedy Studio, college radio, Salem State College and pitfall. Chippah and the Tazz make a cameo as well. |
Episode 12: “Annual Drugs Party” Pickle parties, booze, sailors, madness. A party at Mehran’s rife with illicit substances and entertainment! Peter Bowers and Niki Luparelli are featured in this episode as well. |
Episode 13: “Fight Club” An enterprising student gets more than he bargained for when he seeks out Robby for an interview for the Danvers High School newspaper. Meanwhile, things are changing up at The Comedy Studio. |
Episode 14: “Holiday Party” The holidays are here at Quiet Desperation and everyone is in a festive mood. This episode features the Mayan holiday party Manny Del Carmen, It’s Ch-Ch-Chilli Out! and drug dealers losing control! |
Episode 15: “New Alliance” Robby is confronted by his angry cousin Bob, Aaron The King Wizard makes an appearance at the jam space and Mehran runs into some elevator trouble. |
Episode 16: “Chris Fleming” Comedy show blow outs, home album recording and race relations in Quiet Desperation. Robby deals with roommates and record making all under one roof; we meet the intriguing Chris Fleming and the rest of Robby’s new band: Mora, James, Jay and Rob Too! |
Episode 17: “Taking Shrooms And Hitting NH” Robby and friends take a road trip to Santa’s Village and hijinks ensue. Fireworks, shrooms, Medford, MA and the Mooseman…what more could you ask for? |
Episode 18: “The Baseball Card Show” Opium, a Comedy Club booker joining the darkside and a baseball card show! Watch Tricky Niki (Luparelli) work her wiles at the baseball card show and Robby say good-bye to a dear friend. |
Episode 19: “The Rumble Is Coming!” This episode features the Quiet Desperation version of the WBCN ROCK AND ROLL RUMBLE (Battle of the Bands) at Great Scott’s in Allston, MA. See the shock jocks, local music message boards, and Robby selling a song to Wes Anderson and jam space parties as the countdown to the rumble begins. Episode 20: “A New Hope” Warehouse jobs, Republican hardcore bands, jam spaces, video conferencing, crying at work, how many keyboards Nick D’amico has, rats that think you owe them money and the proper use of garbage cans. |
Episode 21: “Worried All The Time” Matt has fallen under Tetra’s spell and left Robby to die alone, and Frank O’Neill is the vulture circling overhead. The Jam Space meeting devolves into madness as Lee storms out “TWITTER DAN!” |

Episode 24: “We Love Cake” This episode has everything! A house party at the Stronghold, beach party flashbacks, a Roadsteamer cameo, North Shore D’Amico, Revere Beach and more! Bands pretending to be other bands, party assassins, curry puffs, gin recipes, getting hit with a bike, finally being happy, and the American Dream. |
